Though I certainly did not hear his set, much of this "super-mega-
jungle-trance" stuff doesn't seem too far off from the lot of new Uk releases..
There's a magazine called junglized that might help you in this department..
I think it's a midwest publication.. Unfortunately the comps are going to be
your only chance of even scratching the surface of this music, because
reinforced and Moving Shadow seem to be the only labels making it to the
states that are cnnsistantly good.. There was an amusing quote in the last
issue to the effect of "Snoop Doggy Dog visited Trace's shop in England on
ended up buying one of every record in the store".. It also mentioned that
reinforced is doing an Ice Cube remix.. I don't know why I'm posting this
except for the fact that it's amusing.. I'm gonna do a little self-promotion
here and mention that my friend John Selway and I's new 12" on +8 called
Octaves/Tremelos should be out this week.. plug..plug.. I've really fallin'
in love with the last couple of releases that Jonah's put out.. It's
scarin me cause between Matthew Hawtin and Jonah Sharp, I may get a true
ambient baptizing.. go figure.. Back to work.. JAmie
